The 6IXTY Women's Competition 2022/23

The 6IXTY Women's Competition was a short-lived T10 cricket tournament held in the West Indies. It operated as a joint venture between Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), launching under the leadership of CWI President Ricky Skerritt and CPL CEO Pete Russell. The inaugural season ran from August 24 to 28, 2022, in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The event featured three franchise teams: Trinbago Knight Riders Women, Guyana Amazon Warriors Women, and Barbados Royals Women. Played in a T10 format, the competition introduced unique rules including a requirement of six wickets to win and a 'Mystery Free Hit' decided by fan voting. SkyExch served as the title sponsor for the 2022 edition. Barbados Royals Women secured the title in the only season played.

The tournament was discontinued after 2022 and did not continue in subsequent years. The current premier franchise tournament for women in the region is the Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL), also founded in 2022 by CWI and CPL. The WCPL is a T20 competition that initially featured the same three franchises but expanded to four teams, adding Jamaica Empress Women, in later seasons. Barbados Royals Women are the current title holders of the WCPL, having won the 2023, 2024, and 2025 editions.

The Women's Caribbean Premier League is distinct from the Women's T20 Blaze, which is the primary regional domestic championship featuring teams representing geographical associations rather than commercial franchises. The 6IXTY competition was unique for its T10 format and franchise-based structure, but it was a one-off experiment compared to the ongoing WCPL.
