Changnyeong

The ground sits in Bugok, a rural county of South Gyeongsang province, and it holds 2,500 people — enough for a county side, and more than the WK-League club that played there usually needed. Changnyeong Sports Park was where a team went when the league had a hole to fill.

That hole opened in 2017, when Icheon Daekyo folded. Changnyeong WFC was assembled in 2018 to put the number back to eight.

The football rarely went well. Three wins and twenty-two defeats in the first season, one win the next, both times bottom of the table. Every season after that ended in the same position.

Hong Hye-ji went first in the 2018 draft — a defender who captained the national side and left in 2025 for AFC Toronto. There were no trophies, no rivalry anyone bothered to name.

Bugok keeps its stadium.
