Incheon Red Angels

Long before there was a league to dominate, it was founded on 3 December 1993 as South Korea's first women's works team, sponsored by the company that would later become Hyundai Steel.

Through the late 1990s and 2000s, the club built its record in the national cup competitions: eight titles in the Queen's National Women's Football Championship between 1998 and 2007, and seven more in the National Women's Football Championship, most recently in 2024. When the WK-League finally launched a professional structure, after finishing runners-up in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, they took the title in 2013 and won eleven straight championships through to 2023 — a run that ended only in 2024, when the club dropped to fourth place. They returned to the play-off semi-finals in 2025 after finishing third in the regular season.

Goalkeeper Kim Jung-mi has been the fixture behind that success, a presence at the club since 2004, while midfielder Cho So-hyun came through between 2011 and 2017 before moving on to Europe. The squad has also carried an international accent, with Brazilian forward Bia Zaneratto among the overseas signings to wear the shirt.
