Hwacheon KSPO

Third in the table in 2012 and again in 2017, then beaten in the play-off final in both 2017 and 2024 — for most of its life Hwacheon KSPO reached the last stage of the WK League season and left it empty-handed.

The club began elsewhere. Founded on 9 March 2011 as Jeonbuk KSPO, the seventh side admitted to the league, it played out of Jeollabuk-do until the WK League switched to home-and-away fixtures in 2015. The travel had worn the squad down, and the move to Hwacheon — with the name it carries now — was made as much to lift results as to cut flight time. Ownership rests with the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, a state body, and the club's agreement with Hwacheon county, first signed for five years, has since been renewed twice, in 2019 and 2024, securing its place there until at least 2029.

Home matches are played at Hwacheon Stadium, which holds 3,000, in blue and white.

Two seasons changed the record. In 2024 the club finished top of the regular-season table for the first time. In 2025 it went further, winning the regular season and the play-off both, then adding the National Women's Football Championship and the National Sports Festival. Jeong Ji-yeon captained the side and was named the league's MVP; Choi Yoo-jung finished as its leading provider of assists.

Outside that season and a National Sports Festival title in 2019, the club's honours list is blank.
