Seoul FC

Seoul City Hall put its name behind a women's team in February 2004, and it became one of the founding members when WK-League launched in 2009. The council backing shows in small ways still: home matches are played not at the main Seoul World Cup Stadium but at its auxiliary pitch next door, an artificial surface with a single stand that holds 1,012 people.

The club has reached two league finals and lost both. In 2013, playing as Seoul WFC, it went down to Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels. In 2025, now known as Seoul City Amazones, it went unbeaten enough through the regular season to finish second and reach the playoff final again, where Hwacheon KSPO beat them to the title.

Park Eun-sun carried the attack through the early years and finished as the club's top scorer in the 2012 season. What followed her took the story out of football altogether: a gender-verification dispute in 2013 became a public scandal around her, and she left for a Russian club soon after, and her name still comes up first when the club's history is raised.
