DHK Banik Most Women

Pavla Bartásková and a handful of former players are the reason there is a first team in Most today. When the senior women's side collapsed economically in the mid-1990s, it was Bartásková's group, with Jiří Hanus as coach, who started again from the bottom of the regional league around 2000. The section itself went back further, to a handball department the men's club Baník Most had opened in 1953 and extended to women in the 1970s, but the rebuild was theirs to do from nothing.

The 2013 season also brought the EHF Challenge Cup, the first European handball trophy won by a Czech club, and it set the pattern for what followed: eleven Czech Extraliga titles between 2013 and 2025, eleven Czech Cups, and in 2019 a first appearance in the group stage of the EHF Champions League. DHC Slavia Praha is the one side that has managed to interrupt that run, taking the league in 2023 after Most had held it for nine years straight.

The club plays as the Black Angels, in orange and black. Sportovní hala holds 1,400. The current squad carries names such as Katarína Kostelná and Dominika Zachová, alongside academy products like Linda Jungová coming through behind them.
