Ferencváros Women

Ferencváros has answered that pressure with fourteen national titles, the most recent in 2024, and sixteen Hungarian Cups. Abroad, the club's record reads differently: three European finals lost, in 1971, 2002 and 2023, against three EHF Cup Winners' Cup titles and a single EHF Cup, won in 2006.

The team plays out of the Elek Gyula Aréna, a ground that holds only 1,300, small enough that for the biggest European nights the club has moved matches to the Érd Aréna to fit more than 2,000 through the gates.

None of this was played under the Ferencváros name at first. The section formed in 1950 as ÉDOSZ SE, a name handed down by political directive rather than chosen by the club, and it took until 1956, after a spell as Budapesti Kinizsi, for Ferencváros to reclaim its own colours.
