HBC Strakonice 1921, as it's formally listed, has never lifted the Extraliga title or the national cup. What it has to show is the 2. Liga won in the 2011/2012 season, the step that took the club back into the top flight of Czech men's handball.
The rivalry that matters locally is with Lokomotiva České Budějovice, a South Bohemian derby with no name attached to it, just proximity and history repeating itself fixture after fixture. David Zbíral, who went on to play in Germany for HCE Plauen, is the clearest example of someone the club produced before he moved on.
