Sierpc sits in northern Mazovia.

The clearest measure of that rhythm came in the 2015/16 season, when Mazur led its group in the II Liga for a stretch before Wisła II Płock overtook them for the automatic promotion spot. Sierpc went into the play-offs instead and lost there to GKS Żukowo, staying put a tier below. A season later, in the I Liga, the club went the other way and was relegated.

None of that has dented the appetite for the fixture against SCKS Jurand Ciechanów, played out as the Derby of Northern Mazovia. Konrad Brzeziński gave the club one of its sharper individual seasons, finishing as top scorer with 60 goals. The team plays its home matches at the sports hall attached to Primary School No. 2 on Płocka Street, and alongside the men's side the club also runs a women's team in the II Liga.

60 goals in a season is still the number locals reach for when Brzeziński's name comes up.
