Western Australia Women

Perth's cricket association fielded a women's side from the 1936–37 season, entering the Australian Women's Cricket Championships and staying there until that competition gave way to the Women's National Cricket League in 1995–96. Western Australia joined the WNCL the following season and was known as the Western Fury, a name the Western Australian Cricket Association dropped on 29 July 2019 in favour of Western Australia Women.

The rebrand landed in the same year the side finally broke through. A final defeat to New South Wales in 1999–00 had been their last appearance on that stage; twenty years on, in 2019–20, they beat New South Wales by 42 runs to win the title. Nicole Bolton, named Player of the Series, captained the squad.

Matches are played at the WACA Ground, the Western Australian Cricket Association's home in Perth, where a redevelopment finished in late 2025 turned a ground that once held up to 24,500 into a 10,000-seat boutique venue.

New South Wales remain the team most associated with the club's history, from the 1999–00 final defeat to the 2019–20 win that reversed it, with Victoria completing the rivalry at the top of the WNCL.
