All-Island Cup - Women 2026/27

The All-Island Cup operates as a cross-border fixture bridging the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Unlike the domestic FAI Women's Cup or the League of Ireland Cup, which remain exclusive to the Republic, this tournament unites clubs from both jurisdictions. It serves as a supplementary competition rather than a league, specifically scheduled during the international break for the FIFA Women's World Cup to avoid clashing with the League of Ireland Women's Premier Division or the Northern Ireland Women's Premiership.

Organised jointly by the Football Association of Ireland and the Irish Football Association, the event features sixteen teams. The group stage comprises all twelve clubs from the Republic alongside the top four from the Northern Irish league. These sides are split into four groups of four. The format dictates that the top two finishers from each group advance to a knockout phase involving quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. There is no promotion or relegation linked to the cup.

Galway United Women hold the record for success, having secured the inaugural edition in 2023 and retained the trophy in 2024. Wexford Youths Women claimed the title in the 2025 season. Current participants include Athlone Town Women, Bohemians Women, Cliftonville Women, Cork City Women, DLR Waves Women, and Galway United Women. The tournament is officially sponsored by Avenir Sports. It stands apart from regional rivals like the Irish Cup (Women) and the County Antrim Shield, which are limited to Northern Ireland.
