BFA claimed a 4-2 victory over Transinvest 2 in the Regular Season - 19 fixture of the 1 Liga on 8 August 2026. The home side moved further clear of trouble while the visitors remained rooted in the lower half of the table. Three goals came in the second half as BFA controlled the tempo after the break.
The opening goal arrived early, in the eighth minute, when BFA took an advantage that Transinvest 2 would chase for the remainder of the match. The visitors responded in the thirty-second minute to level matters and keep themselves in contention. By then the game had settled into a rhythm that suggested more than one side would find the net.
The second half began with BFA reasserting dominance, scoring in the sixtieth minute to edge ahead once more. Transinvest 2 struck back quickly, finding the equaliser in the sixty-third minute to keep the scoreline tight. The momentum shifted again in the seventy-second minute when BFA restored their lead, and the visitors appeared to have used their reserves.
A red card in the seventy-seventh minute altered the complexion of the encounter, leaving Transinvest 2 with ten men. BFA made no mistake, adding a fourth goal in the eighty-fourth minute to seal the result. And here's the thing: the visitors had scored two goals despite being reduced to ten men, which said something about their response.
Before the match BFA sat seventh with 39 points from 23 games, while Transinvest 2 languished in thirteenth place with 18 points. The result extends BFA's gap over the visitors to 21 points with a handful of rounds remaining. Neither side is likely to challenge for the title, but the standings will shift further apart with each passing fixture.
BFA arrived off a 1-0 defeat to Kauno Žalgiris II, while Transinvest 2 had lost 1-0 to Babrungas Plungė. Both sides have shown inconsistency throughout the campaign, but this result gives the home side breathing room in the middle of the table.
