Lingbi and Odense played out a 1:1 draw in the Superliga's fifth round of matches on Sunday evening at Lingbihallen. The result keeps both sides in the lower half of the table, with Lingbi still seventh and Odense ninth after six games each.
Isaac Snor Thorvaldsson gave the home side the lead in the 53rd minute, capitalising on a moment of opportunity. Odense responded with patience, and James Bonde equalised deep into stoppage time at the 90+5 mark.
The match was punctuated by discipline issues on both sides. Lingbi collected four yellow cards — J. Gomez at 40 minutes, L. Sandgrav and C. Gammelgaard both at 65, and M. Garananga at 76. Odense's tally came through J. Askou at 43, R. Tytens at 86, U. Jenssen at 90+1, and F. Gytkjaer at 90+4.
Substitutions began early for Odense, with J. Askou replaced at half-time, while Lingbi brought on M. McCoy and F. Arp together at 63 minutes. I. Thorvaldsson was taken off at 65, and O. Hojer came on for Lingbi at 73. Odense made two changes at the 86-minute mark, bringing on S. Colyn and G. Fraulo.
By then, the statistics told a familiar story. Odense held 55 per cent possession and created three big chances, but Lingbi dominated attacking volume with 121 attacks compared to 118. The home side registered 14 shots but managed only one on target — a 6 per cent accuracy rate that let the game slip away.
Odense's shot accuracy of 44 per cent meant they converted pressure into a late response. Lingbi's goalkeeper made seven saves while Odense's keeper had none to make. Both sides won 26 aerial duels and committed similar numbers of fouls — 14 versus 17.
The point lifts Lingbi to five points from six games, while Odense remain on four. Neither side has won more than once this season, and this draw extends a pattern of narrow margins in their opening fixtures.
