About the player
Augusto Max signed for Gimnasia La Plata on a free transfer on 3 September 2024. His path started at San Martín de Tucumán, where he came through between 2009 and 2014 and made 34 league appearances without scoring, before a single game at Atlético Tucumán and a move to Mitre de Santiago del Estero the following year.
The midfielder then worked his way through Juventud Unida and Quilmes. Max found his most productive run at Cerro Largo in Uruguay, where he spent three seasons from 2021 to 2023, scoring five goals across close to 60 league appearances while also featuring in Copa Sudamericana and Copa Nacional fixtures.
