Arnaldo Andrés Zambrano Parraga

On 1 December 2024, against Barcelona SC, he struck a goal in the 44th minute of the second half to level the match at 2-2 in Ecuador's Serie A. He was named among the best players on the pitch that day.

Zambrano's path to that moment ran through several stops. He came up through Japan Auto FC's academy before joining Mushuc Runa's under-20 side in 2019. From there he moved to Colombian club Boca Juniors de Cali, before returning to Mushuc Runa on a senior contract on 1 January 2022. His first start for the first team came that July, in a match against Universidad Católica.

Since establishing himself in the side, Zambrano has become a regular fixture in Mushuc Runa's league campaigns, wearing the number 8 shirt. Across his time in Serie A he has made 60 appearances, scoring twice and setting up another goal, and he has also featured in the Copa Ecuador and in continental competition in the Copa Sudamericana. He continued to feature regularly into the 2026 season.

He represented Ecuador at under-20 level but has not been called up to the senior national side. Arnaldo Zambrano has not collected individual or team honours with Mushuc Runa, and his career has otherwise progressed without major disruption from injury.
