Alisson Safira

In early 2026, playing for Juventude in the Gaúcho state championship, Alisson Safira stopped an attack to help an injured São José defender. His own club's supporters whistled him for it, and carried on whistling even after Juventude came back in the match.

Safira, born in Terra Boa in Paraná, began at Foz do Iguaçu in 2016 and moved on loan to Londrina the same year, later signing permanently. Between 2017 and 2021 he was a Londrina player mostly in name: loans took him to Almirante Barroso, Novorizontino, CSA, Ponte Preta and CRB.

Portugal came next. He joined Belenenses SAD on a free transfer in September 2021 and scored in the mid-single figures across the 2021/22 season. In September 2022, Vitória Guimarães bought 70 per cent of his rights for €350,000; he spent two seasons there, playing 30 matches. A €500,000 move to Santa Clara followed in January 2024, and he scored six goals in 18 matches after the winter window as the club won Liga Portugal 2.

The 2025 season split in two. A loan to Universitatea Craiova in Romania brought 16 appearances and one goal. Then came Cuiabá, where his debut ended in a straight red card for striking an opponent. What followed was his best run: 10 goals in 22 Série B matches, until an acromioclavicular shoulder dislocation in October required surgery and ended his season.

Juventude signed him anyway, agreeing terms in December 2025 and completing the deal in January 2026, on a contract to the end of 2027. He has scored five times in 23 Série B matches this season.
