Marcos Paulo Lima Batista Silva

The clearest marker of Marcos Paulo's season with Juventude came in the Copa do Brasil, where the left-back scored — one that arrived in a competition where he has featured six times in 2026.

He came up through the academy at Nova Iguaçu, the club that held his registration for most of his career. In 2020 he moved into the Flamengo structure and spent several years in the youth sides there. A loan spell followed in 2023, and it produced a single first-team appearance, in the Campeonato Carioca. Nova Iguaçu retained his rights throughout. Because so much of his contract was spent out on loan, there is no clear record of senior football for the club that owned him.

Juventude announced his arrival on loan from Nova Iguaçu on 8 January 2025. He was not a squad filler: across that first season he made 19 appearances in Série A, one in the Copa do Brasil and one in the Gauchão, and registered an assist in the top flight.

The move was made permanent in January 2026. He joined on a free transfer — no fee was paid, and no figure was disclosed — with his rights having sat at Nova Iguaçu until his contract there ended.

The 2026 campaign has been his busiest. He has played 21 matches in Série B, seven in the Gauchão and six in the Copa do Brasil, adding three assists: two in the league and one in the state championship. He wears the number 47 shirt.
