Born in Guadalajara, in the Mexican state of Jalisco, Palacios holds Mexican citizenship by birth but was naturalised by Peru and represents it; he was called into the Peru under-23 squad in 2019. He came through the academy at Sporting Cristal and was promoted to the first team in 2018. He was loaned straight out to UTC Cajamarca — 10 matches, one goal — and then, in 2019, to Universidad San Martín de Porres, where he played 14 and scored once. That year he left Cristal altogether after a fallout with the club's management and coach Manuel Barreto.
A season at Cusco FC brought 12 appearances, then two years at Carlos Stein in Peru's second division turned him into one of its most productive players: 54 matches, 11 goals, and a place in the SAFAP team of the season for 2021. Deportivo Binacional signed him as a free agent in 2023 and used him high up the pitch — 33 matches, 11 goals and five assists in Liga 1, plus a goal in the Copa Sudamericana.
