About the player
Brian Leguizamón made his debut in the top flight in April 2025, coming into a Sportivo Trinidense side facing Olimpia in the Apertura. The appearance capped a run that had begun only months earlier, when he broke into the first-team picture in January of that year after progressing through the club's own ranks.
What has followed since has been measured in fragments rather than minutes. Leguizamón's senior involvement has largely consisted of being named among the substitutes for fixtures against Cerro Porteño and Libertad, with a single Copa Paraguay appearance and a pair of outings in the reserve-focused Copa de Primera making up the rest of his ledger.
Inside the club, expectations have run ahead of the statistics. Coaches Néstor Camacho and José Artuza have both spoken publicly about his potential, with local media picking up their description of him as a "future Neymar".
He remains a product of Sportivo Trinidense's own development system. The team itself has history to draw on, having won the Paraguayan second division in 2009 and again in 2022, though those campaigns predate Leguizamón's involvement and he holds no personal honours of his own at this stage of his career.
