N. Gauto

Nelson Gauto came through the Club Guaraní academy and made his senior debut in 2022, when he featured once in Paraguay's top division and once in the Copa Paraguay for the first team.

In October 2023 he moved out on loan to Sportivo 2 de Mayo, a spell that ran into the following season but yielded little playing time. He returned to Guaraní and the move to Sportivo Trinidense was made permanent on 1 July 2025, when Trinidense paid Guaraní a fee reported at 171,000 euros for his rights. His contract at the club runs to the end of December 2026, and he wears the number 5 shirt.

Gauto's clearest success so far has come with Paraguay's youth sides. In 2022 he was part of the squad that won the football tournament at the South American Games in Asunción, beating Ecuador 1-0 in the final on home soil. The following year he was included in Paraguay's squad for the South American Under-20 Championship in Colombia, where he faced Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Brazil and the hosts twice.
