Sportivo Trinidense's goalkeeper carries a nickname less flashy than his record: two penalties saved in a Copa Paraguay semi-final in 2023.

Víctor Samudio Núñez was born in Ciudad del Este and worked his way through Paraguay's domestic circuit rather than through a big-club academy. He started at 3 de Febrero for the 2017/2018 season, moved on to Deportivo Capiatá the following year, then spent time at Resistencia Sport Club before leaving as a free agent.

He signed for Sportivo Trinidense in January 2022, also on a free transfer, and has held the number 12 shirt there since. The move turned into the most settled stretch of his career: he became the club's regular goalkeeper, working through league seasons as well as continental and domestic cup football, including appearances in the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Paraguay in 2024.

His numbers at Trinidense show steady involvement rather than a single standout year — appearances have ranged from the low twenties to over thirty in a season, with clean sheets arriving at a consistent if modest rate across each campaign. The penalty shootout save in the 2023 Copa Paraguay semi-final remains the moment most associated with him at the club, even though Trinidense did not go on to win the competition.

There has been talk of a step up to the national team: Paraguay coach Gustavo Alfaro was reported to have called him in, a decision noted at the time as unusual for a goalkeeper playing outside the country's leading clubs. No record of an actual appearance for Paraguay has surfaced alongside that report, so it stands as an episode rather than a cap.
