About the player
Coli Saco was born in Créteil and holds French citizenship, but he plays internationally for Mali. His football education ran through several French clubs and academies before Sochaux passed him to AC Milan's youth setup in 2020. A year later Milan let him go, and Napoli picked him up for their youth ranks.
What followed was a long stretch of loans rather than first-team minutes in Naples. Pro Vercelli gave him a real run out, 34 appearances and three goals, before Ancona brought his best individual return: seven goals in 32 games. A loan at Yverdon-Sport was cut short by mutual agreement in January 2026 after just eight matches, and he finished that season at Casertana, contributing to both league and play-off football there.
Internationally, Saco's clearest mark came with Mali's under-23 side. He was part of the squad that took bronze at the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, and the following year he represented Mali's Olympic team at the Paris 2024 Games, featuring against Israel and Paraguay.
Napoli sold him to Riga FC on 30 July 2026 for a reported fee of one million euros. He wears number six in Riga and, at the time of writing, has made two appearances for the Latvian side — the start of a chapter still very much in progress.
