Erick Alexander Pluas Vera

At Orense SC, Erick Plúas has been a product of the club's own academy rather than an outside signing. He came through the youth ranks and was promoted to the first team on 1 July 2021, and has stayed there since, building up a run of appearances that now stands at 82 matches with one goal to his name.

Before that promotion, Plúas had a spell away from home. In July 2020, Orense sent him on loan to Palmeiras in Brazil to join the Sao Paulo club's under-20 side, an arrangement struck when he was still a teenager. The loan was later extended, keeping him in Brazil into 2021 before he returned to Ecuador and broke into Orense's senior squad.

Since then, his career has been defined by steady presence in the Orense midfield rather than by a single defining moment. Born in Huaquillas, he has worn the number 14 shirt for a side that gave him his professional education both at home and, briefly, abroad in Brazilian football.
