Michael Bermúdez

Bermúdez was part of the Ecuador squad that won the Under-17 World Cup in 2023, and he arrived at that tournament having already been one of the top scorers at the South American U-17 Championship earlier the same year with four goals. In 12 matches for Ecuador's under-17 side, up to July 2024, he scored seven times.

He came through the academy at L.D.U. Quito and signed his first professional contract there in October 2023, a five-year deal. That season the club won the Ecuadorian title and the Copa Sudamericana, and reached the Recopa Sudamericana final the following year. Bermúdez, though, made no league appearances for the senior side, playing instead for the youth teams and in friendlies.

The move that was meant to change that took him to Serbia. In July 2024 he joined OFK Beograd on loan and spent the season on the fringes: nine SuperLiga appearances totalling 284 minutes, plus a full 120 minutes in the Serbian Cup. He did not score. The loan was cut short on 20 April 2025.

Ten weeks later he was back in Ecuador. On 30 June 2025 he joined Orense SC on loan, an arrangement running to 31 December 2026 — the same date his LDU Quito contract expires. At Orense the minutes have come: more than 20 league matches by 2026.

He is a right-footed forward from Santo Domingo. He has scored five goals in the Copa Mitad del Mundo. He has not been called up to Ecuador's senior national team.
