Two goals in Serie D across the 2024–2025 season marked the point at which Giacomo Calandrini became a fixture in the side. Fifteen league appearances that year, against twelve the season before and three the season before that.
Calandrini has never played senior football anywhere else. He came through the Ravenna academy in his home region and was promoted to the first-team squad for the 2022–2023 season. There have been no transfer fees anywhere in his career, because there have been no transfers.
The reward came on 9 July 2025, when Ravenna announced they had extended his contract to 30 June 2027. In its statement the club pointed to his standing as a youth graduate who had earned trust within the project.
That extension arrived as the club moved up to Serie C. It is a small sample.
