Heine Gikling Bruseth

Between August 2024 and January 2026, Heine Gikling Bruseth moved three times and made no competitive appearances. Orlando City SC signed him under the MLS U22 Initiative for an undisclosed fee, reported at around €1.5 million, and he never played a competitive match for the club. San Diego FC selected him in the 2024 MLS Expansion Draft; there too he did not appear competitively. In July 2025 he was loaned to Sarpsborg 08 FF.

Bruseth started in the youth ranks at Tingvoll IL and joined the Kristiansund BK academy in 2018. A loan to Levanger FK in June 2022 gave him seven appearances, and on 4 September that year he made his senior debut for Kristiansund, coming off the bench in a 3–1 Eliteserien win over Sandefjord. He was in the squad that won promotion to the Eliteserien by beating Kongsvinger in the playoff final on 3 December 2023. His first senior goal was the winner in a 3–2 victory over Lillestrøm SK.

On 7 January 2026, San Diego FC transferred him back to Kristiansund for an undisclosed fee, with a sell-on clause written into the deal. He signed until 31 December 2028 and wears the number 10 shirt.

Bruseth has represented Norway at under-19, under-20 and under-21 level, including at the 2023 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. His brother, Ådne Gikling Bruseth, has also played for Kristiansund and Levanger.
