About the player
The 2024 Eliteserien season was the first time Michael Lansing played a full league campaign in Europe: 30 appearances and five clean sheets for Kristiansund BK, the club he joined in January 2024 on a free transfer and a two-year contract.
He signed for Aalesunds FK in January 2021 and stayed three seasons, but his 32 league appearances there were bunched at the start and the end: 30 in the 1st Division in 2021, then two in the Eliteserien in 2023.
Alongside that he was the starting goalkeeper for New York Red Bulls U-23, the side that won the 2014 NPSL Championship — the only major team honour on his record.
In November 2020 he was called into a senior training camp with the United States, but was not named in the final squad for the December friendlies against El Salvador and Panama. He has no senior international caps, and no recorded appearances for the American youth sides.
