About the player
Ian Garguez came through Palestino's own academy, joining as a teenager in 2020 after starting out in the youth system at Unión Española.
The right-back made his mark in 2024 with a modest run of nine league appearances, but he still found the net once, and added a further outing in continental competition. That was only the beginning. In 2025 Garguez established himself as a regular in the first team, playing 21 league matches and scoring twice, while also featuring three times in the cup and twice in continental fixtures.
