Israel Alba

Israel Alba's path to the top of Colombian football began close to home, in the youth ranks of Once Caldas, where he came through the club's escuelitas in the Minitas district of Manizales before making his professional debut with the senior side in 2013.

What followed was a career built on movement rather than a single defining stop. Alba left Once Caldas for Leones in the second division in 2015, returned to Manizales in 2018, then went through Patriotas and Jaguares de Córdoba before a short spell at Inter Bogotá in early 2022. That sequence of clubs across Colombia's top and second tiers gave him a wide view of the domestic game before his career reached its highest point.

The move to Millonarios in July 2022 changed that trajectory. In Bogotá, Alba won the Colombian league title and the Copa Colombia that same year, the clearest mark of success in a career otherwise defined by steady, unspectacular progress through the league. He stayed with Millonarios through 2025.

In July 2025, Alba joined Atlético Bucaramanga as a free agent, bringing his championship pedigree to a club looking to build on recent form. There has been no call-up to the Colombian national team recorded in his career, a defender's story written entirely at club level rather than on the international stage.
