Jorge Andrés Carrascal Guardo

Jorge Carrascal was born in Cartagena and made his professional debut with Millonarios in Colombia in November 2014, a start that carried him to Europe within two years. Sevilla signed him for its reserve side, but it was a loan to Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine that gave him the regular football that made the move permanent, with the Ukrainian club buying out his contract in 2018.

The transfer that shaped his career came in January 2019, when River Plate signed him from Karpaty. Under Marcelo Gallardo, Carrascal became a title winner: he collected the Copa Argentina, the Copa Sudamericana, the Argentine Supercup, the Liga Profesional Argentina and the Trofeo de Campeones during his three seasons at the club.

In February 2022 he moved to Russia on loan to CSKA Moscow, a switch that became permanent that June. He added a Russian Cup with CSKA in 2023 before crossing Moscow to Dynamo, where he spent two seasons.

Carrascal has also become a regular for Colombia, making his senior debut in a friendly against Guatemala in August 2022. He has scored for his country against South Korea and the United States, and has gone on to win 22 caps.

In August 2025 he completed a switch to Flamengo, signing a four-year contract and taking the number 15 shirt. The move quickly paid off: he won the Copa Libertadores and the Campeonato Brasileiro with the Brazilian club in his first season, following up with the Campeonato Carioca in 2026.
