About the player
There is no long list of clubs behind Javier Orantes's name yet — only one. The goalkeeper came through Necaxa's own academy, and in 2025 the club moved him out of that pipeline and into the first-team picture, where he now wears the number 181 shirt in Mexico's Liga MX.
Orantes was born in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, in the southern state of Chiapas, on 22 June 2006. His path since has stayed entirely within the Necaxa system, a route that speaks to the trust the club has placed in a keeper it developed itself rather than one bought in from outside.
He has not yet been called into Mexico's national team setup at senior level. For now, his story is still that of a young academy product waiting to turn a squad number into regular minutes for Necaxa.
