About the player
Luis Jiménez came through Pachuca's academy, from Sub-15 through to Sub-23. A year spent training with the first team and playing for the club's youth sides preceded his return to Necaxa.
Back at Necaxa, Jiménez has started to accumulate senior minutes rather than watch from the sidelines. He has yet to be capped by Mexico's senior side.
At 195cm, Jiménez has the physical profile clubs look for between the posts. Necaxa now represents the next stage of that development, with the loan spell at Cruz Azul serving as the bridge between academy football and a first-team squad.
