Jose Ignacio Flor Blanco

Jose Ignacio Flor Blanco came through the academy at El Nacional, working his way up through the club's under-14, under-16 and under-18 sides and the reserve team before making his first-team debut in 2015. Three years later he moved to Técnico Universitario, debuting in Serie A against Macará in June 2018.

His career since has been built on regular movement rather than a settled home. Chacaritas took him on loan in Serie B, Manta gave him a season in Liga Pro, and América de Quito used him over two years in Serie B, where he made 64 appearances, more than at any other club besides El Nacional. He returned to El Nacional in 2024, the club that raised him, and that season the team won the Copa Ecuador.

Flor's most substantial spell of first-team football has come at El Nacional, where he has made over a hundred league appearances across his two stints. In 2025 he featured in Liga Pro, the Copa Ecuador and the Copa Libertadores for the club. This year he has continued his career on loan at Mushuc Runa, appearing regularly in Liga Pro.

At youth level, Flor was capped for Ecuador's under-15, under-17, under-20 and under-23 sides. He played at the 2015 Under-17 World Cup in Chile, where Ecuador reached the quarter-finals, though he did not score in his four appearances at the tournament.
