José Carlos Ferreira Júnior

José Carlos Ferreira Júnior — known throughout his career as Juninho — spent from August 2021 until early 2025 at Midtjylland, and when he came back to Brazil it was to sign for Internacional on 28 February 2025.

He grew up in the Londrina system in his home state of Paraná, but his professional debut came elsewhere: at Coritiba, in 2015. Two seasons there earned him a move to Palmeiras in 2017, where he stayed a further two. From there the path ran through loans — Atlético Mineiro in 2019, then Bahia — before the Danish move took him out of the domestic game altogether.

At Internacional he wears number 18. By the start of 2026 he had made 41 appearances across all competitions for the club: 20 in the 2025 Série A season, seven more in 2026, with the rest spread across the Copa do Brasil, the Copa Libertadores, the Rio Grande do Sul state championship and the Recopa Gaúcha. He has yet to score for the club in an official match; six assists are on his record.

In May 2026 he took his first trophy in Porto Alegre, playing his part as Internacional won the Recopa Gaúcha.

He has not been capped by the senior Brazil side. Left-footed and used in the middle of the back line.
