Julián Simón Carranza

Julián Carranza left home in Oncativo for Banfield's academy and made his first-team debut in November 2017, before Inter Miami signed him in 2019 and sent him straight back to Argentina on loan for the rest of that year. The move to the United States eventually paid off elsewhere: Philadelphia Union took him on loan in December 2021 and made the deal permanent the following July, a transfer that put him at the centre of the club's forward line.

Carranza's best spell came with the Union. He picked up the MLS Player of the Week award twice in successive months in 2022, both times after scoring hat-tricks, and helped the club reach that year's MLS Cup final, where they lost 3-2 to LAFC.

He moved to Europe in June 2024, joining Feyenoord as a free agent. Playing time in Rotterdam proved harder to come by, and in September 2025 he went out on loan to Leicester City for the rest of the calendar year before returning to Feyenoord in January 2026.

At youth level, Carranza represented Argentina's under-17 side, scoring three goals in four appearances, and later added a goal in two games for the under-23s, netting against Colombia.
