About the player
Julius Lorents Nielsen came through Silkeborg IF's academy, having joined the club at the age of nine from local side Resenbro UIF. In April 2022, aged 16, he signed a trainee contract, and by February 2024 he was training with the first team on a camp in Portugal. His name first appeared in a Danish Superliga squad list that April, for a match against Nordsjælland, though he stayed on the bench.
His Superliga debut followed on 28 July 2024, coming off the bench in the 69th minute against AaB. His first goal for the club arrived on 26 April 2026, in a 2-0 win over Randers.
At youth international level, Lorents has moved steadily up the age groups for Denmark: a single cap for the under-16s in 2022, nine appearances and a goal for the under-17s across 2022 and 2023, seven games for the under-18s in 2023-24, and a run of twelve appearances for the under-19s since 2024. In 2025 he was part of the Danish squad at the European under-19 championship in Romania, playing against Spain and Montenegro.
