That is where Lorenzo Lonardi spent the Serie C play-off final against Ternana, pressed into service as an emergency central defender for Pescara, who went up to Serie B on penalties. It was the closing act of a season he had otherwise lost: on loan from FC Südtirol, he tore a cruciate ligament against Carpi in October 2024, and the injury ended his campaign there and then.

The three years that made his name came at Virtus Verona . He arrived in 2020 and left in 2023 with 111 appearances, six goals and sixteen assists.

Before any of it, there was a long apprenticeship in the lower divisions. Lonardi came through at GSD Ambrosiana in his native Verona region, with a spell on loan at Hellas Verona and two years in the Varese under-19 setup that brought no senior football. He returned to Ambrosiana for the bulk of his early career, roughly eighty appearances between 2016 and 2020, with a season at Milano City in 2019–20.

On 5 August 2025 he joined Ravenna from Südtirol on a permanent deal, the fee undisclosed. In Serie C Group B he has played 30 league matches and set up two goals.
