Luca Băsceanu

Luca Băsceanu graduated from the Gheorghe Hagi academy at Farul Constanța before Universitatea Craiova signed him in 2025. The move brought the young attacking midfielder into a squad that was assembling a treble, though his own involvement has so far come in short bursts off the bench: four Liga I appearances in the 2026/27 season, 137 minutes in total, with no goal or assist yet to his name.

The team's results told a different story. Craiova won the Liga I title in 2025/26, finishing four points clear of Universitatea Cluj in the play-off standings, then met the same opponents in the Cupa României final. Craiova's forwards found no answer in normal time or extra time, and the trophy went to a penalty shootout Craiova won. The double became a treble in July 2026, when a Supercupa României meeting with Cluj at the Ion Oblemenco Stadium finished 1-1 — Steven Nsimba scoring for Craiova, Alibek Aliyev replying for Cluj — before Craiova prevailed again from the penalty spot.

Băsceanu has also represented Romania's youth sides, playing at the 2025 European Under-19 Championship, and he won his first Under-21 cap in March 2026.
