Samuel Teles Pereira Nunes da Silva

Samuel Teles joined Oțelul Galați in July 2023 on a free transfer. In the 2023/24 season he helped the Romanian club reach the final of the Cupa României, where the trophy was decided on penalties: level at 2-2 with Corvinul Hunedoara after normal time, Oțelul lost the shoot-out 3-2 in May 2024. Teles stayed on for two league seasons at the club, making 70 appearances and scoring seven goals.

His path there had run through several tiers of Portuguese football. He came through the academies of ADF Anta, AD Sanjoanense and Braga before making his senior debut at Sanjoanense, then had a loan spell at Lusitânia and two spells at Leça.

In May 2025 Teles left Oțelul for Universitatea Craiova, again as a free agent, signing a two-year contract with an option to extend. Wearing the number 23 shirt, he was part of the side that won the Liga I title in 2025/26 and went on to add the Cupa României and the Supercupa României, three trophies inside a single campaign. The same season brought Conference League football, with Craiova facing Sparta Prague and İstanbul Başakşehir among others.

Teles has not been capped by Portugal's senior national team. Across his career he has made more than 320 appearances and scored 23 goals.
