About the player
Nikola Stevanović came through the youth system at Radnički Niš, the club in his home city, and made his first-team debut there in 2016. A loan spell at Dinamo Vranje followed between 2018 and 2019.
That year brought his first move abroad: Ingolstadt 04 signed the defender in January 2022 for a fee of around €100,000. The stint in Germany ended by mutual consent in July 2023, and Stevanović returned to Serbia as a free agent, joining Napredak Kruševac two months later.
Oțelul Galați signed him as a free agent in July 2024, and a year later he moved again, this time to Universitatea Craiova for a fee of around €100,000.
At international level, Stevanović represented Serbia at under-18 level in 2016, playing four matches, and was called up to the under-19 side later that year. His only appearance for the senior national team came in the January–March 2021 window, when he played once without scoring.
