About the player
Mariano Ojeda came through the youth ranks at Patronato in Paraná, where he scored playing for the club's sixth division side, before moving into Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata's academy in 2023.
Since then his development has run through Gimnasia's reserve setup. In the 2025–2026 seasons he was a regular for Gimnasia II in the Torneo Proyección, starting matches against Unión, River Plate and Godoy Cruz. The team finished eighth in Group A and missed out on the play-offs, but the run of starts kept Ojeda in view of the first-team staff.
A left-footed full-back, he plays on the left side of defence. He was included in Gimnasia's squad list for the 2026 Torneo Clausura.
He has no senior titles or individual honours to his name so far.
