About the player
Pedro Ganchas came through Benfica's academy after joining from Carregado in 2011 before loan spells took him back to Carregado and then to Sacavenense. His first taste of senior football came only in 2020, when he made his professional debut for Benfica B.
The move that opened his career came in January 2022, when he left Benfica for Paços de Ferreira. Over a season and a half there he became a regular, making 36 appearances and scoring twice.
Ganchas represented Portugal at various youth levels, turning out for the under-17, under-18, under-19 and under-20 sides.
