Pedro Garrido

Pedro Garrido joined Universidad de Chile's academy at the age of ten. He worked his way through the youth ranks and was promoted to the first-team squad in 2021. His professional debut did not come until 5 January 2023, in a Torneo de Verano fixture against Coquimbo Unido, when he started in goal but conceded twice in a defeat.

At international level, Garrido was called into Chile's under-20 side for the 2023 South American Championship in Colombia, brought in as a replacement for the injured Eduardo Villanueva. He had also taken part in preparatory training microcycles for the same tournament in 2021 and 2022.

Garrido's move to Audax Italiano in January 2026 closed out his time at Universidad de Chile. The transfer, formalised from 1 January and presented publicly on 24 January, was agreed on a free basis, with Garrido signing a two-year contract. The deal split his economic rights evenly between the two clubs, with Universidad de Chile also retaining rights tied to his sporting formation. According to encancha.cl, the move was made possible by a separate settlement: Audax Italiano dropped an $800,000 claim against Universidad de Chile relating to another player, Esteban Matus, clearing the way for the two clubs to agree terms over Garrido.

Since arriving at Audax Italiano, Garrido has featured in the Copa Chile, and has also been included in squads for Primera División fixtures and Copa Sudamericana matches against opponents including Unión La Calera, Magallanes, Barracas Central and Paraguay's Olimpia.
