About the player
The four-year contract Ricardo Visus signed on 2 July 2025 runs until 30 June 2029 — a long commitment for a defender arriving in Poland from Real Betis at 24.
The Madrid-born defender left UD Santa Marta for the Betis youth setup in August 2018, and the path from there was the long one. He made his senior debut with the reserve side, Real Betis B , in October 2019, then went out on loan twice to Córdoba CF — first to the B team in 2020–21, then to the first team the following season, where he made 13 appearances. Promotion to the Betis first team came in 2023, and his La Liga debut followed in October of that year.
Loaned to Almere City FC in the Eredivisie in July 2024, Visus played 24 matches and scored once across 2024–25.
At Widzew he has been in the side from the start of 2025–26, among the appearances a 1:1 draw with Wisła Płock on 10 August 2025.
