Four assists and no goals: that is the ledger a forward carries into his second season at O'Higgins . Rodrigo Godoy has played 45 matches for the first team since the start of 2025.
He came to the club at ten, joining the academy in 2014, and stayed a decade before the professional paperwork caught up. In February 2025 he signed his first professional contract at O'Higgins — having been born in Graneros. By then he had already made his senior debut: 26 January 2025, in the Copa Chile. The Primera División followed on 15 February.
The first season was the busier one. Godoy played 25 league matches in 2025 and set up four goals, adding five appearances in the Copa Chile.
Chile called him up at under-20 level in 2025. He went to the Under-20 World Cup that year and played four matches there, plus one friendly — five caps in all, no goals. The senior side has not called.
The one trophy on his record came before the debut. In 2024 he was part of the O'Higgins youth side that won the Súper Copa de Proyección, a competition for the club's development teams rather than the first squad.
