In April 2025, during a Copa Libertadores match against Nacional of Uruguay, the Bahia goalkeeper caught a glass bottle thrown from the stands and handed it to the referee.

Ronaldo de Oliveira Strada joined Vitória's youth ranks in 2011 and made his professional debut on 24 May 2018, a goalless Copa do Nordeste tie. He became first choice that same year and stayed until his contract expired in December 2021.

He left as a free agent for Atlético Goianiense , where four seasons brought 141 official appearances and three Campeonato Goiano titles in a row — 2022, 2023 and 2024. In January 2026 the move was made permanent, on a deal running to 31 December 2029.

At Bahia he displaced both Marcos Felipe and Adriel. His first season brought 28 Série A appearances with nine clean sheets, alongside four Copa do Brasil matches, six in the Copa do Nordeste and two in the Libertadores. Through August, 15 league games, seven clean sheets and two goals conceded. Across 19 matches with him on the pitch Bahia conceded 12; in the 17 without him, 33.

Ronaldo dislocated his right elbow after an awkward fall in a Brasileirão match against Remo and was out until May. He returned in time to add a Campeonato Baiano title to the three he won in Goiás.
