About the player
Volodymyr Shepelev spent a decade inside Dynamo Kyiv's system before he made a single senior appearance for the club, arriving from Chornomorets Odesa's academy in 2010 and working through the age groups until his first-team debut on 25 February 2017. He went on to make 158 appearances for Dynamo, scoring five goals over spells that stretched to 2025.
He went on to collect seven caps for Ukraine through 2021, though he never scored at that level.
After leaving Dynamo, Shepelev had a short spell at Oleksandria in 2025, making 12 appearances and scoring once, before signing a two-year contract with Polessya on 29 August 2025. His first season in Zhytomyr brought him 17 appearances for the first team without a goal, and he also had a brief loan run-out with the reserve side, Polessya-2, in the Ukrainian First League.
