J. Karaman

Yaroslav Karaman grew up in the Zakarpattia region and started out with URDySSh-DySSh Zinedin in Baranyntsi before moving into the Minaj academy system, first with AFURR-Minaj and then FC Minaj. He made his senior debut with FC Uzhhorod in the 2023–24 season, playing in the Ukrainian Second League and the Ukrainian Cup, before a free transfer took him to Polissya Zhytomyr in September 2024, where he has featured for both the first team and the reserve side.

With Ukraine's youth sides, Karaman has moved up through the age groups. He debuted for the under-19s as a substitute in a friendly defeat to the Netherlands, then established himself with the under-20 squad. His most notable appearances came at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he started against South Korea and set up a goal in a 2-1 win, and also featured in a 1-1 draw with Panama. He has yet to score at international level.

At club level, Karaman was part of the Polissya Zhytomyr squad that finished fourth in the Ukrainian Premier League in the 2024–25 season, a result that secured the club's qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League.
