About the player
At 17, Yordi Vílchez was made captain of Carlos A. Mannucci.
He came out of the Copa Perú. Vílchez started in the system at Atlético Grau in 2010, then moved to Los Caimanes in 2011, reaching the semi-finals of the competition with them. Mannucci followed, and after that Juan Aurich, where he made his debut in Peru's first division in 2014.
Between 2014 and 2017 the defender played 107 matches for the club and scored once. When Aurich went down, he joined Deportivo Municipal in December 2017 — 69 appearances and four goals there. A season at Cusco FC came next.
On 5 January 2021 he signed for Alianza Lima : Vílchez won the Peruvian championship in 2021 and again in 2022, and made 86 appearances for the club, scoring twice. In 2024 Alianza loaned him to ADT of Tarma for part of the Clausura, where he played 13 matches.
Vílchez joined Alianza Atlético in 2025, then signed for Comerciantes Unidos later the same year as a free agent, playing 11 matches for them in 2025. On 2 July 2026 he left for FC Cajamarca.
