Baerum

Bærum's derby has no name and needs none: everyone in the hall calls it the "lokaloppgjør," the local match, against Asker Aliens. The current Bærum Basket formed in 2009, when four neighbourhood sides, EB-85, Lommedalen, Bærums Verk, and Sandvika, pooled their players into one elite team after the previous flagship, Bærums Verk Jets, had folded four years earlier.

The original Bærum BBK, set up in 1963 by Jan Petter Hansen, won ten straight Norwegian championships between 1969 and 1978 and ten straight Cups alongside them, with Pål Vik on the floor for every one of those title runs.

Stian Mjøs carried much of that team, setting the club's single-season record for three-pointers and becoming the first Norwegian to score 50 points in a BLNO match while wearing its shirt. The club also lost Alex Dakin , one of its players, to cancer in 2020.
